The Punxsutawney Airport is host to Center Line Aviation LTD.

Center Line Aviation Ltd has operated since 2005 as an FAA Part 61 Flight Training Facility providing training to students preparing for the Recreational or Private Pilot Certificates as well as their Instrument Rating.  So whether you are interested in learning to fly for personal/recreational purposes , to use an aircraft to  enhance your business travel or to take the first steps toward a career in Aviation, Center Line can help you achieve your goal. We also conduct Flight Reviews, Instrument Proficiency Checks, Rusty Pilot refresher training, FAA WINGS Program Phases,and Transition Training.

We train in a modern well maintained 2 seat trainer which is  FAA Part 23 certified for Day/Night VFR & IFR Flight – N668AM is a 2002 AMD Alarus CH2000 – See information at AMD – Alarus (newplane.com)  The plane has dual Nav/Coms and a Garmin 430W for precision RNAV/GPS Instrument approaches, and ADSB In & Out.

The owner and primary Certificated Flight Instructor is Larry Straitiff CFII who has 5,300 Hrs of flight time since 1994. Over half of that time being instruction provided since 2000. References available on request.

The FAA Mandates a min of 40 Hrs of Training for the Private Pilot Certificate but the National average is 60-70 hrs. An average student can plan on 60 hrs over a 6+ mth time frame and a total cost of around $10,000 (Including all materials and fees).

Contact us to arrange for an Introductory Flight Lesson – $79.00 + Tax. We’ll spend a couple hours fully explaining the entire training process accompanied by a ½ hr  “hands on” flight under  close supervision by the CFI.

The Intro Flight will answer all your questions about what is involved with obtaining your license and allow some actual flight experience.
